Clarissa "theViine" Blanco is a visionary, multidisciplinary, creative, and public health professional dedicated to empowering BIPOC individuals and communities through creativity, resilience, and self-expression. As the founder of Expressive Intellect LLC, she leads a mission-driven organization that stands at the forefront of creative empowerment and community resilience. With a Master of Science in Community Medicine from Keck Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Science from The College of William & Mary, her academic background and extensive professional experience equips her with a unique skill set to address complex health and social issues innovatively. Under her leadership, Expressive Intellect revolutionizes personal growth, community resilience, and creative expression for BIPOC individuals and communities. Collaborating with community partners, the organization identifies at-risk populations and implements targeted creative programs that foster personal development and healing. Blending creativity with the BCR model, Expressive Intellect offers comprehensive, culturally responsive solutions tailored to community needs.
Clarissa's approach, rooted in community partnership, creative expression, trauma-informed care, and innovation, drives her organization, Expressive Intellect. Offering services like creative writing, personal development, youth empowerment, community building, and marketing, she brings a holistic perspective as a self-proclaimed seer, healer, and alchemist. Her innovative products, including BCR-Inspired Workshops, Tailored Creative Programs, Expressive Resilience Assessments, and Bespoke Community Empowerment Solutions, foster creativity, address the "Pair of ACEs," empower BIPOC individuals, and strengthen community connections. Her professional journey includes roles such as Special Projects Manager at The Bronx Health Link, Inc., Membership & Outreach Associate at New Settlement Community Center, and Health Homes Care Manager at Acacia Network.
Her positions have honed her skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and content creation. Her commitment to community service is further demonstrated by her roles as a Board Member for Grassroots Grocery and as a Recovery Coach and trained Community Medic, bringing a comprehensive approach to wellness and community support. Through Expressive Intellect, Clarissa curates community spaces, creative projects, and transformative experiences to reshape personal and collective growth, reduce systemic inequities, and improve the quality of life in vulnerable communities. Using creative methods and the BCR model, she and her team enhance outcomes for underserved populations.
